The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Economics and Accounting to A-Level students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using the school’s in-house systems and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Support students’ academic and personal development through positive relationships and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver the curriculum in line with awarding organisation specifications.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and trips that enhance student engagement with Economics and Accounting.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices through professional development and sharing of best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.
  • Support the school’s mission and values by fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Economics and/or Accounting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach A-Level Economics.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to a range of students.
  • Ability to assess student work and provide effective feedback.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Accounting as a second subject.
  • Experience with extra-curricular activities and student engagement initiatives.
  • Experience in working within a large, successful school or college.
  • Familiarity with the school’s in-house systems and assessment procedures.
  • Experience in curriculum development and collaboration with colleagues.
