Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging science lessons that promote student achievement and curiosity.
• Plan and develop curriculum resources and lesson plans in line with National Curriculum requirements.
• Monitor and support student progress, providing tailored feedback and guidance.
• Contribute to departmental planning and the development of teaching strategies.
• Act as a form tutor, supporting students' pastoral needs and fostering positive relationships.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and external stakeholders.
• Participate in staff development and continue professional growth through training and collaboration.
• Ensure a safe, motivating, and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level, ideally in an 11-18 school and multi-ethnic urban setting.
• Strong understanding of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4.
• Ability to create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.

Preferred

• Experience with innovative use of ICT and interactive teaching tools.
• Experience in leading or contributing to staff development initiatives.
• Experience in pastoral care and form tutoring.
• Knowledge of science education best practices and curriculum development.
