The Opportunity:
A Computer Science Teacher is needed to inspire and challenge students across KS3, KS4, and KS5. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the OCR specification and to contribute to a forward-thinking department that values innovation and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Computer Science lessons across all key stages, following the OCR and national curriculum specifications.
- Set clear learning targets and provide regular feedback to support student progress and achievement.
- Contribute to the development of schemes of work and maintain a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage students to develop practical programming skills and apply computational thinking to real-world problems.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and well-being.
- Participate in professional development, school duties, and performance management activities.
- Stay up-to-date with current educational thinking and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lesson planning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Computer Science education.
- Ability to teach across KS3, KS4, and KS5 following the OCR specification and national curriculum.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and inspire students.
- Commitment to student success and a track record of helping students achieve top grades.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching programming, computational thinking, and real-world applications such as cybersecurity and AI.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to departmental and whole-school improvement.
- Passion for developing students’ potential and a commitment to inclusive education.
