Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.

  • Support students in developing key skills such as reading, writing, and communication.
  • Stay up to date with developments in English education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English literature and language.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching across multiple year groups.
  • Familiarity with teaching games or other subjects as a second subject.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
