The Opportunity:
As a Pastoral Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social development. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student lives while working within a dynamic and supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic, emotional, social, and behaviour support to identified students.
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions to address academic and pastoral needs.
- Encourage and model resilience, positive learning attitudes, and excellent behaviour.
- Track attendance, academic progress, and pastoral concerns, addressing issues promptly.
- Act as a central point of contact for pastoral matters within the year group.
- Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns, maintaining accurate records of interventions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) with basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work towards Level 2 vocational qualifications or demonstrate specialist skills.
- Competence with IT tools, strong communication, and organisational skills.
- Physical ability to handle manual tasks and work collaboratively.
Preferred
- Experience in pastoral support or student welfare.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
