Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Computer Science lessons to students across key stages.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and prepares them for GCSE and beyond.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure achievement and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning.
  • Participate in the school’s leadership programme and contribute to the development of student character and social action.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and integrate new technologies into teaching.
  • Support the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of teaching to GCSE standard.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons that drive student achievement.
  • Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies.
  • Experience with computing and technology in education.
  • Experience working in a school with a leadership specialism.
