Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative PE lessons at KS3 and KS4
  • Organise and lead successful extra-curricular activities for students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to raise attainment in PE
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through professional and community engagement
  • Support the development of students both academically and personally
  • Implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress
  • Participate in staff development and training programmes
  • Work within a strong behaviour system that supports teaching and learning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant PE experience
  • Strong subject knowledge and experience in teaching PE at KS3 and KS4
  • Proven ability to raise attainment in PE
  • Experience in organising and delivering extra-curricular activities
  • Commitment to student development and school improvement

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods in PE
  • Background in working within a high-performing school environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
