Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective French lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Work closely with the Head of Department to develop and implement departmental strategies.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching and targeted interventions.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing detailed feedback and guidance.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the French curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.
- Stay up to date with developments in French education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching French at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge in French and a commitment to delivering an ambitious curriculum.
- Experience in working within a school team and contributing to departmental leadership.
- Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or supporting departmental initiatives.
- Knowledge of teaching French as a second language.
- Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and a track record of successful student outcomes.
