The Opportunity:
As a Computing and Digital Technology Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching across full-time and part-time programmes. You will play a key role in shaping the learning experience, promoting digital capability, and supporting student success in an inclusive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of full-time and part-time programmes.
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities to support student progress and achievement.
- Promote essential skills such as literacy, numeracy, and digital capability.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and support the delivery of basic and key skills.
- Maximise learner attendance, retention, and punctuality within assigned groups.
- Support the development of innovative teaching materials and resources.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Strong subject knowledge in computing and digital technology.
- Intermediate IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in delivering teaching to a range of learners, including adults and school leavers.
- Understanding of current educational initiatives and best practices.
Preferred
- Familiarity with learner management systems and virtual learning environments.
- Experience with e-learning platforms and student record systems.
- A creative and innovative approach to teaching and curriculum development.
- Experience in supporting learners with diverse needs and backgrounds.
