The Opportunity:

As a Computing and Digital Technology Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching across full-time and part-time programmes. You will play a key role in shaping the learning experience, promoting digital capability, and supporting student success in an inclusive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of full-time and part-time programmes.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities to support student progress and achievement.
  • Promote essential skills such as literacy, numeracy, and digital capability.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and support the delivery of basic and key skills.
  • Maximise learner attendance, retention, and punctuality within assigned groups.
  • Support the development of innovative teaching materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong subject knowledge in computing and digital technology.
  • Intermediate IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in delivering teaching to a range of learners, including adults and school leavers.
  • Understanding of current educational initiatives and best practices.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with learner management systems and virtual learning environments.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and student record systems.
  • A creative and innovative approach to teaching and curriculum development.
  • Experience in supporting learners with diverse needs and backgrounds.
