The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Computing Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the academic and personal development of students across Years 7 to 13. The position is part-time, offering 3 days of work per week, and is ideal for ECTs looking to grow in a collaborative and inspiring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Computing lessons to students across Years 7 to 13.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that align with the school’s curriculum.
- Collaborate with the Computing and BET teams to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Support students’ academic progress and personal development through effective classroom practice.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in Computing education.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant Computing qualification.
- Experience teaching Computing to students across Years 7 to 13.
- Commitment to student academic progress and personal development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with ECTs or early career teachers.
- Familiarity with a range of teaching methodologies and technologies.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
