The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Computing Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the academic and personal development of students across Years 7 to 13. The position is part-time, offering 3 days of work per week, and is ideal for ECTs looking to grow in a collaborative and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Computing lessons to students across Years 7 to 13.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that align with the school’s curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the Computing and BET teams to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Support students’ academic progress and personal development through effective classroom practice.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in Computing education.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant Computing qualification.
  • Experience teaching Computing to students across Years 7 to 13.
  • Commitment to student academic progress and personal development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with ECTs or early career teachers.
  • Familiarity with a range of teaching methodologies and technologies.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
