The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and creative Part-Time Design and Technology Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student learning and development, with opportunities to teach across key stages and specialisms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons to KS3 students on a carousel basis.
  • Teach either Textiles or Product Design at KS4 and potentially KS5.
  • Support students in developing practical and theoretical knowledge in D&T.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and student outcomes.
  • Participate in departmental planning and staff meetings.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
  • Encourage creativity, innovation, and problem-solving in students.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design and Technology.
  • Experience teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Textiles or Product Design.
  • Experience working with ECTs or in a leadership role within a department.
  • Familiarity with STEM-related subjects and projects.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student welfare.
