The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Languages to teach French and Spanish across KS3, with the opportunity to teach French at KS4 and KS5. This is a part-time role (0.4fte) working two days a week, offering a supportive and collaborative working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach French and Spanish across KS3, with the ability to teach French at KS4 and KS5.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that raise student achievement and foster a love of learning.
  • Support students of all abilities and work collaboratively with colleagues to develop a strong learning culture.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and contribute to the school’s appraisal process.
  • Engage fully in the life of the school and contribute to its academic and pastoral success.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that enhance student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Support the school’s mission and values, including 'Truth, Honour, Freedom and Courtesy.'

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching languages at KS3 and KS4.
  • Ability to teach French at KS4 and KS5.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and professional development.
  • Experience working in a school environment, preferably with a collaborative team.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Spanish.
  • Experience with ECT (Early Career Teacher) training and support.
  • Knowledge of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools and its values.
  • Experience in delivering CPD or participating in appraisal processes.
