The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Languages to teach French and Spanish across KS3, with the opportunity to teach French at KS4 and KS5. This is a part-time role (0.4fte) working two days a week, offering a supportive and collaborative working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach French and Spanish across KS3, with the ability to teach French at KS4 and KS5.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that raise student achievement and foster a love of learning.
- Support students of all abilities and work collaboratively with colleagues to develop a strong learning culture.
- Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and contribute to the school’s appraisal process.
- Engage fully in the life of the school and contribute to its academic and pastoral success.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that enhance student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Support the school’s mission and values, including 'Truth, Honour, Freedom and Courtesy.'
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching languages at KS3 and KS4.
- Ability to teach French at KS4 and KS5.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and professional development.
- Experience working in a school environment, preferably with a collaborative team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Spanish.
- Experience with ECT (Early Career Teacher) training and support.
- Knowledge of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools and its values.
- Experience in delivering CPD or participating in appraisal processes.
