The Opportunity:
A Part-Time Design and Technology Teacher is needed to join a successful and specialist Faculty team. The role involves teaching KS3 D&T on a carousel and the opportunity to teach Textiles or Product Design at KS4 and potentially KS5. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking Faculty that achieves excellent results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons to KS3 students on a carousel system.
- Teach either Textiles or Product Design at KS4 and potentially KS5.
- Contribute to the Faculty’s success by maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
- Support the development of students’ creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and student outcomes.
- Participate in planning, assessment, and professional development activities.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Engage in extra-curricular activities and pastoral support where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Design and Technology.
- Ability to teach KS3 D&T on a carousel system.
- Experience in teaching either Textiles or Product Design at KS4 and potentially KS5.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and progression.
Preferred
- Experience working with ECTs or in a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of current Design and Technology curriculum and assessment practices.
- Experience in using industry-standard software and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
