The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support teaching and learning across the school. This role involves supervising prepared lessons, invigilating examinations, and fulfilling duty responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of education at the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise prepared lessons in the absence of the usual class teacher
• Maintain the continuous learning and development of students
• Invigilate internal and external examinations
• Fulfill duty responsibilities as part of the school’s duty system
• Support form tutor responsibilities where required
• Undertake administrative tasks as directed by the headteacher
• Ensure a safe and productive learning environment during cover periods
• Assist with other duties as required to support school operations

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant teaching or supervisory experience
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work Monday to Wednesday, term time only
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
• Willingness to undertake administrative tasks

Preferred

• Experience in a school setting
• Knowledge of examination procedures
• Experience with form tutor responsibilities
• Familiarity with school duty systems
• Experience in a grammar school environment
