The Opportunity:

As a Leisure Lettings Assistant, you will support the use of leisure and sports facilities across multiple sites. This customer-facing role ensures a safe, welcoming, and efficient experience for all users. You will work closely with the estates team and school staff to maintain high standards of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist hirers with setting up facilities for lettings and school-related events, including netball courts and floodlights.
  • Act as a key holder, unlocking and securing gates and doors during shifts.
  • Conduct health and safety checks and report any hazards or faulty equipment.
  • Maintain the security of school facilities by controlling access to hirers and their groups.
  • Perform light cleaning duties to keep designated sites in good condition.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as paperwork, scheduling, and record-keeping.
  • Act as a first aider and be aware of safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Comply with policies and procedures related to child protection and welfare.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and be flexible with booking demands.
  • Willingness to carry out heavy lifting, including moving equipment and setting up for sporting events.
  • Commitment to safety, security, and maintaining high standards.

Preferred

  • Experience with health and safety procedures.
  • First aid certification.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
