Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons effectively to students of secondary school age.
  • Manage and support classes in the absence of teaching staff.
  • Work collaboratively with experienced colleagues across the school.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Be flexible and reliable, adapting to the needs of the school and students.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to cover supervision when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A willingness to gain experience working in a classroom or with young people of secondary school age.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexibility and reliability to support the school’s needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or working with young people.
  • Previous experience in a teaching or support role.
  • A current or previous qualification in education or related fields.
  • Experience with lesson planning and delivery.
