The Opportunity:

As a Higher Education Advisor, you will provide crucial support to students from Year 7 to Year 13, helping them navigate their educational and career paths. This role is central to the Professional Guidance Centre and plays a key part in shaping the future of young women through personalized advice and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the provision of Higher Education and Careers advice to students across all year groups.
  • Work closely with academic departments and senior leadership to enhance opportunities for student development.
  • Deliver tailored guidance that promotes leadership, enterprise, and internationalism.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
  • Participate in training and development events to maintain high standards of professional practice.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of careers and higher education programs throughout the academic year.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on student progress and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the PGC team to ensure a cohesive and impactful guidance strategy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree-level qualification and relevant professional certification.
  • Proven experience in providing careers and higher education advice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to educational excellence and student welfare.
  • Flexibility to work during peak periods and attend training events.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or college environment.
  • Familiarity with international education systems.
  • Experience with teaching or advising in a boarding school setting.
  • Knowledge of the IB Diploma Programme or similar curricula.
