Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Key Stage 1 lessons that meet curriculum requirements and promote student achievement.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality teaching resources and learning materials that support pupil progress.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
  • Support the school’s leadership programme by modelling and encouraging leadership skills in students.
  • Engage with parents and carers to keep them informed of student progress and school initiatives.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong understanding of statutory requirements for Key Stage 1
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding attainment and achievement
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and creatively engage learners

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a school with a leadership specialism
  • Background in a faith-based educational setting
  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
