The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Latin lessons that develop students’ fluency in grammar, spelling, and vocabulary.
• Inspire students to appreciate the historical and cultural significance of the Latin language.
• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across different key stages.
• Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and individualized support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching methods.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
• Participate in staff development and training initiatives.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching Latin across different key stages
• Strong knowledge of Latin grammar, vocabulary, and literature
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Commitment to inclusive education and student success

Preferred

• Experience with teaching Latin at both GCSE and A Level
• Ability to integrate technology into Latin teaching
• Experience with curriculum development or leadership roles
• Familiarity with teaching English as a Second Language
