The Opportunity:
As Curriculum Leader - Expressive Arts, you will lead the development of a dynamic and inclusive curriculum in Music and Drama. This role offers the chance to shape the artistic and cultural experiences of students, ensuring they develop creativity and confidence in a Catholic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Expressive Arts curriculum, ensuring it is ambitious, inclusive, and aligned with Catholic values.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to teachers in Music and Drama.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of the curriculum on student outcomes and engagement.
- Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity within the department.
- Represent the department at school-level meetings and events.
- Ensure that the curriculum reflects the school’s mission and values.
- Support the professional development of teaching staff in the Expressive Arts.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Music and/or Drama.
- Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design and delivery in Expressive Arts.
- Commitment to Catholic education and values.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team.
- Familiarity with Catholic educational principles and practices.
- Experience in developing and implementing school-wide strategies.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
