The Opportunity:
As a Cleaner, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the school. Your work will support the daily operations of a school that is committed to providing the highest standards of education and care for its students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all school premises to the required standards, including classrooms, corridors, and common areas.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for students and visitors.
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the Site Supervisor.
- Adhere to the school’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of school events and activities as required.
- Maintain a high standard of tidiness and organization throughout the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in cleaning or similar roles, preferably in an educational setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Flexibility to work across different areas of the school and during various hours as required.
- Understanding of health and safety and safeguarding procedures.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a school or similar environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and techniques.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
