The Opportunity:

As a Curriculum Manager - German, you will lead and inspire a team of teachers and support staff within a high-achieving MFL department. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of language education and make a real impact on student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and inspire a team of teachers and support staff
  • Develop and implement an effective German curriculum following the AQA specification
  • Manage and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences for A level German students
  • Support the development of teaching staff through mentoring and professional development
  • Coordinate weekly conversation classes with native German speakers
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the department
  • Ensure the successful delivery of extracurricular activities and student support initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure outstanding educational outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership and management experience within an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of the German curriculum and AQA specification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage a 0.6 FTE workload

Preferred

  • Teaching qualification or relevant experience in education
  • Experience in managing a team of teachers and support staff
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
