The Opportunity:
As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and challenging science lessons to students aged 7–19. You will contribute to a dynamic and inclusive curriculum that empowers students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Implement innovative teaching strategies and use AI and data to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Promote positive student behavior and support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing.
- Contribute to curriculum development and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Degree in Science or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Science up to and including Key Stage 3.
- Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN).
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with students and adults.
- Good ICT skills, particularly using technology to support learning.
Preferred
- Experience with AI and data-driven teaching methods.
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Experience in safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
- Knowledge of inclusive education and SEND best practices.
