The Opportunity:

As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and challenging science lessons to students aged 7–19. You will contribute to a dynamic and inclusive curriculum that empowers students to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Implement innovative teaching strategies and use AI and data to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Promote positive student behavior and support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Degree in Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Science up to and including Key Stage 3.
  • Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with students and adults.
  • Good ICT skills, particularly using technology to support learning.

Preferred

  • Experience with AI and data-driven teaching methods.
  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Experience in safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education and SEND best practices.
