The Opportunity:
As a Curriculum Manager - Transition Programmes, you will lead and shape innovative programmes that support students facing barriers to learning. This role is ideal for someone passionate about transforming lives through education and creating meaningful pathways for young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a portfolio of transition and pathways programmes for disadvantaged, SEND, and NEET learners.
- Lead curriculum design that is flexible, innovative, and focused on improving life chances for students.
- Support staff development and ensure high-quality teaching and learning across all programmes.
- Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring strong outcomes and successful transitions.
- Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to enhance programme delivery and impact.
- Ensure all provision aligns with the school’s mission and meets the needs of diverse learners.
- Deliver ESOL programmes that build confidence and enable learners to access future opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve engagement and retention across all transition programmes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in managing and leading transition and pathways programmes for disadvantaged or high-needs learners.
- Strong understanding of further education and transition pathways.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to high aspirations for every learner.
- Ability to design and deliver innovative curriculum solutions.
Preferred
- Teaching qualification or relevant professional experience.
- Experience with SEND and complex needs provision.
- Familiarity with ESOL and language development strategies.
- Experience in curriculum management within a college or educational setting.
