The Opportunity:

As a Quality of Education Lead, you will play a key role in driving standards across the institution and ensuring that all students receive a consistently excellent learning experience. This is a unique opportunity to influence the direction of education and support the development of high-quality teaching practices across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning standards across the institution.
  • Work closely with the teacher development team to provide guidance and support to staff.
  • Develop and implement innovative educational strategies aligned with learner and employer needs.
  • Collaborate with external partners and internal departments to enhance the quality of education and training.
  • Deliver teaching within your vocational specialism or in teacher development.
  • Act as a role model and mentor for colleagues, inspiring others to reach the highest standards.
  • Ensure compliance with funding body requirements and learner needs.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of a learner-focused, innovative institution.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in education, preferably in technical or vocational areas such as construction and engineering.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and support colleagues in their professional development.
  • Commitment to raising educational standards and improving student outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in teacher development or curriculum design.
  • Familiarity with the requirements of funding bodies and external partners.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods or educational technologies.
  • Knowledge of the technical education sector.
