The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Heads of Departments and Senior Technicians in coordinating the use of practical resources and facilities
  • Provide support and advice to teaching staff and support staff on meeting curriculum needs
  • Liaise with staff across the school to ensure resources are available and maintained
  • Maintain and manage tools, machinery, and materials used in secondary school departments
  • Ensure health and safety standards are upheld in all technical areas
  • Support the delivery of practical lessons and workshops
  • Assist in the planning and organization of school events and activities
  • Maintain accurate records of resource usage and equipment maintenance

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working in a workshop or technical support role
  • Knowledge of tools, machinery, and materials used in secondary school departments
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-focused approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and maintaining high standards of integrity and confidentiality

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn
  • Experience with curriculum support or teaching assistance
