The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and monitor the development of the English curriculum at a specific Key Stage.
• Support the Director of English in raising academic standards and improving teaching and learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality across the department.
• Deliver high-quality professional development for English staff.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
• Contribute to the overall vision of the school by promoting excellence, inclusion, and justice.
• Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in English education.
• Proven leadership experience within a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment practices.
• Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Experience in a leadership or senior leadership role within a school.
