Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential in English.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school's values and the IB Middle Years Programme.
  • Support students in both academic and personal development through pastoral care and extra-curricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and within the MAT network to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Provide regular feedback and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Lead and manage a range of extra-curricular initiatives that enrich the student experience.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities tailored to individual and school goals.
  • Maintain high standards of conduct, appearance, and professional behavior in line with school expectations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Commitment to the school's values and mission, including a focus on student welfare and development.
  • Experience in delivering a curriculum aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme or similar frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading extra-curricular activities or student support initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools in teaching and learning.
  • Experience with pastoral care or student mentoring.
  • Background in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or bilingual education.
