Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential in English.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school's values and the IB Middle Years Programme.
- Support students in both academic and personal development through pastoral care and extra-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school and within the MAT network to enhance teaching and learning.
- Provide regular feedback and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Lead and manage a range of extra-curricular initiatives that enrich the student experience.
- Participate in professional development opportunities tailored to individual and school goals.
- Maintain high standards of conduct, appearance, and professional behavior in line with school expectations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Commitment to the school's values and mission, including a focus on student welfare and development.
- Experience in delivering a curriculum aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme or similar frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading extra-curricular activities or student support initiatives.
- Familiarity with the use of digital tools in teaching and learning.
- Experience with pastoral care or student mentoring.
- Background in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or bilingual education.
