Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in English and Drama, engaging students through performance-based and technology-enhanced methods.
  • Develop and implement a creative curriculum that supports student achievement and personal growth.
  • Manage a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a culture of respect and excellence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Creative Arts and Communications departments to enhance student outcomes.
  • Support the school’s commitment to pastoral care and student well-being through meaningful engagement and mentorship.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the school’s educational practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual learning needs.
  • Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities, including drama productions and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong academic background in English, Drama, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching English and Drama at the appropriate level.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in a school following the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities, such as drama productions or student leadership programs.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and supporting student well-being.
