Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the Head of School in the strategic and operational management of the Secondary School.
• Oversee the development and implementation of academic and pastoral policies aligned with the school’s vision and values.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to teaching and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, pupil-centric education.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to drive innovation in teaching, learning, and student engagement.
• Represent the school at external events, meetings, and conferences, promoting its mission and values.
• Ensure the effective management of resources, including staff, budgets, and facilities, to support the school’s strategic goals.
• Support the development of a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture that reflects the Wellington values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role, preferably in a school with a similar ethos and international profile.
• Strong understanding of British and international curricula, including IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop staff, with a focus on pastoral care and academic excellence.
• Commitment to the Wellington values of Kindness, Responsibility, Respect, Courage, and Integrity.

Preferred

• Experience in a co-educational setting.
• Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
• Experience in leading large teams and managing complex projects.
• Fluency in a second language, particularly Mandarin.
