The Opportunity:
Join a forward-thinking leadership team as a Deputy Headteacher (Quality of Education), shaping the school’s educational strategy and driving continuous improvement. This is a pivotal role in supporting the Headteacher and enhancing the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a strategic approach to Quality of Education.
- Oversee the evolution of teaching and learning, using evidence-based research.
- Implement the DfE’s Curriculum and Assessment Review.
- Contribute to the school’s inclusion and digital strategy.
- Manage the Quality Assurance process and Whole School CPD.
- Support the Headteacher in delivering the ‘outward-facing school’ strategy.
- Lead performance management for teaching staff and the Exams and Admissions departments.
- Promote high expectations and student voice across the school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as an Assistant or Deputy Headteacher.
- Strong leadership and management skills with a clear vision for educational improvement.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
- Ability to evaluate performance data and drive continuous improvement.
Preferred
- Experience with digital and AI integration in education.
- Background in safeguarding and pastoral care.
- Familiarity with student leadership and extracurricular development.
- Experience in leading whole-school change initiatives.
