The Opportunity:

The Deputy Principal Secondary plays a vital role in leading and managing the secondary section of the school. This position combines leadership, teaching, and administrative responsibilities to ensure academic excellence and a positive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the secondary section in collaboration with the Executive Principal.
  • Deploy and assign teaching responsibilities to staff, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Oversee student and staff attendance, registers, and covers.
  • Lead curriculum development and ensure alignment with international standards such as Cambridge and IGCSE.
  • Coordinate schoolwide professional development and strategic communications with parents.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance and curriculum delivery.
  • Develop and implement policies in line with school goals and external accreditation requirements.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement among staff.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor of Education (BEd) or equivalent.
  • Teaching qualification such as PGCE or higher degree (MA/MS/MBA).
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in teaching and school management.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula such as Cambridge, IGCSE, or IPC.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in school marketing and community engagement.
  • Background in health and safety policy development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead professional development initiatives.
