The Opportunity:

As the Head of Secondary, you will lead a key section of the school, combining teaching and leadership responsibilities. This role is central to the school’s academic and administrative operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and fostering strong relationships with students, parents, and external bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the secondary section of the school.
  • Deploy and assign responsibilities to teachers in collaboration with the Executive Principal.
  • Oversee disciplinary matters and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Maintain and strengthen communication between the school and parents.
  • Lead regular meetings with the secondary section of the school.
  • Conduct annual 'Teaching and Learning' audits and ensure curricula alignment.
  • Support schoolwide professional development and leadership initiatives.
  • Coordinate external authorisation, accreditation, and communication processes.
  • Develop and implement curriculum policies and schemes of work.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • BEd or equivalent.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) or higher degree (MA/MS/MBA).
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula such as Cambridge, IGCSE, or IPC.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in school administration and strategic planning.
