The Opportunity:
We are seeking an exceptional Design and Technology Teacher to join a dynamic and creative department. This role offers the chance to inspire students, develop innovative curricula, and contribute to a school known for its strong international focus and outstanding student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Design and Technology, Food, and Art lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme.
- Develop and implement an engaging, practical curriculum that fosters student creativity and real-world application.
- Support students in achieving excellent GCSE and IB results through effective teaching and assessment strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and share best teaching methods.
- Lead and contribute to extracurricular activities, including the iCAS enrichment programme.
- Participate in weekly timetabled CPD sessions and contribute to the school’s culture of continuous professional growth.
- Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to promote the value of Design and Technology and related subjects.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Design and Technology, Food, and Art.
- Experience teaching within a school following the IB curriculum or similar international programmes.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support professional development.
Preferred
- Experience in leading extracurricular activities or enrichment programmes.
- Background in teaching within a flexible working environment or part-time role.
- Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in Design and Technology education.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
