The Opportunity:

We are seeking an exceptional Design and Technology Teacher to join a dynamic and creative department. This role offers the chance to inspire students, develop innovative curricula, and contribute to a school known for its strong international focus and outstanding student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology, Food, and Art lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme.
  • Develop and implement an engaging, practical curriculum that fosters student creativity and real-world application.
  • Support students in achieving excellent GCSE and IB results through effective teaching and assessment strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and share best teaching methods.
  • Lead and contribute to extracurricular activities, including the iCAS enrichment programme.
  • Participate in weekly timetabled CPD sessions and contribute to the school’s culture of continuous professional growth.
  • Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to promote the value of Design and Technology and related subjects.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Design and Technology, Food, and Art.
  • Experience teaching within a school following the IB curriculum or similar international programmes.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading extracurricular activities or enrichment programmes.
  • Background in teaching within a flexible working environment or part-time role.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in Design and Technology education.
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
