The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Design and Technology Teacher to join our high-achieving department. This role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on delivering engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students to excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology or Engineering lessons to Key Stage 3 and at least one subject at Key Stage 4.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Technology team to plan and deliver an engaging and challenging curriculum.
  • Develop and maintain a well-resourced and stimulating learning environment within two large, dedicated workshops.
  • Support students in achieving excellent outcomes through differentiated teaching and effective assessment strategies.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities that enhance the school and local community.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and incorporate new technologies and teaching methods into lessons.
  • Participate in a comprehensive CPD programme and support the professional development of other staff members.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Design and Technology or Engineering.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons to a range of students.
  • Commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching at both Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong induction and support package.
  • Experience with extracurricular activities or community engagement.
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms and technologies.
  • Experience in developing and delivering CPD for other teachers.
