The Opportunity:

As an Early Years Centre Manager, you will lead and inspire a team dedicated to fostering creativity, independence, and resilience in children aged 0–5. This role offers the chance to shape learning experiences both indoors and outdoors, with a focus on outdoor learning and the Atelier approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the Early Years Centre, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for children aged 0–5.
  • Develop and implement creative, engaging learning programmes that support children’s emotional, social, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with the Sherfield Early Years Team to maintain a consistent and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Supervise and support staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment for children and families.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to support children’s learning and development.
  • Promote and implement the Atelier approach to Early Years provision.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on the progress and development of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in managing an Early Years Centre or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Early Years education and child development.
  • Experience in outdoor learning and play-based approaches.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Atelier approach or similar creative learning methods.
  • Background in a co-educational or boarding school environment.
  • Familiarity with the Education in Motion (EiM) ethos and values.
  • Experience in professional development and mentoring.
