Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and innovative Design and Technology lessons that align with the curriculum and promote student achievement
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student learning and progression
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and collaboration
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support
• Stay up to date with developments in the field of Design and Technology and integrate new ideas into teaching practice
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the school
• Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development activities
• Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design and Technology
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum design and pedagogy
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities

Preferred

• Experience with teaching across a range of key stages
• Experience with using technology in the classroom
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies
• Experience with extracurricular activities in Design and Technology
