The Opportunity:
As a SEND Administration Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the school’s SEND provision. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of students and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the efficient administration of SEND systems and student interventions.
- Act as a key point of contact for parents and carers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Coordinate and manage student support plans and interventions.
- Contribute to the wider inclusion ethos of the school.
- Assist with the organisation of meetings, documentation, and reports related to SEND provision.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the SEND team and other departments to support student needs.
- Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the SEND provision.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in a school or educational setting, ideally within SEND support.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Commitment to the values of equality, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred
- Experience with SEND systems and student support frameworks.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
- Experience in a co-operative or values-driven organisation.
- Familiarity with the Co-op values and 'Ways of Being'.
