As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching staff, delivering curriculum content, and contributing to the development of students and academy policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in the planning, delivery, and assessment of the curriculum.
- Assist in the management and preparation of resources for lessons.
- Supervise whole classes in the absence of teaching staff.
- Provide individualised support to pupils to help them become independent learners.
- Contribute to the development of other support staff and academy policies.
- Support pupil welfare and ensure inclusion in all aspects of school life.
- Monitor and assess student progress to inform teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to improve student outcomes and engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
- Proven experience in a teaching or learning support role.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum delivery and assessment methods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
- Experience in alternative provision or special educational needs settings.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
- Experience in developing and implementing teaching strategies.
