Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, and deliver engaging and high-quality learning experiences that support student progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices across the department.
  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of Physics concepts.
  • Support students in developing the skills needed to succeed in A Level Physics and beyond.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
  • Promote equal opportunities and ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all students.
  • Participate in the school’s professional development and continuing education initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Physics at A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Commitment to student achievement and a passion for Physics education.
  • Experience in working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
  • Understanding of current educational policies and teaching practices.

Preferred

  • Experience with the ECF programme or similar teacher training initiatives.
  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership within a department.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Experience with innovative teaching strategies and technology in the classroom.
