The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons that engage and challenge students
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to improve student outcomes
  • Support students through individualised learning and pastoral care
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance Science department initiatives
  • Safeguard and promote student welfare in accordance with school policies
  • Take initiative in identifying and addressing student needs
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of cross-curricular and enrichment activities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Physics
  • Proven experience in teaching Physics at secondary level
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to Science department initiatives
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and pedagogical approaches
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies
  • Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and differentiated instruction
