Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse baseline assessment data to identify students requiring targeted intervention and evaluate the effectiveness of support provided.
  • Design and implement an intervention curriculum for the Mathematics Intervention Learning Support Assistant (LSA) and oversee its delivery.
  • Deliver the Axiom Maths programme to enhance the attainment and progress of disadvantaged students.
  • Coordinate and evaluate intervention strategies across the department.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Provide high-quality teaching in Mathematics to students of all abilities.
  • Support the development of a new strategic vision for the department to raise standards further.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
  • Proven ability to analyse data and develop targeted intervention strategies.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or managing intervention programmes.
  • Familiarity with the Axiom Maths programme or similar initiatives.
  • Experience in working with disadvantaged students.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
