The Opportunity:

Join a passionate and innovative Design and Technology & Engineering team dedicated to delivering a challenging and inspiring curriculum. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a state-of-the-art Engineering and Design Centre, supporting the school's thriving STEM specialism and providing students with access to world-class learning facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of a dynamic and challenging Design and Technology curriculum across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of resources and equipment to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and students to ensure a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.
  • Maintain and manage the Engineering and Design Centre, ensuring it is a hub of innovation and creativity.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities and STEM-related events.
  • Support students in developing practical and technical skills through hands-on learning experiences.
  • Ensure the effective use of technology and facilities to enhance the learning outcomes of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a Design and Technology or Engineering role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering a range of Design and Technology qualifications.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.
  • Knowledge of modern engineering and design technologies.
  • Experience in supporting the development of STEM specialisms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
