The Opportunity:

A Design Technology Technician is needed to support teaching and learning across all key stages. This role offers the chance to contribute to a small, dedicated team and make a meaningful impact on student progress and engagement in Design Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning across the Design Technology Department
  • Provide high-quality technical assistance to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
  • Maintain and manage DT equipment and resources to the highest standard
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and deliver practical learning experiences
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all DT activities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of cross-curricular projects
  • Support students in developing their design and technical skills
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the DT curriculum

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong background in Design Technology
  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the school’s ethos
  • Passion for diversity and inclusion

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering practical lessons or workshops
  • Familiarity with CAD or other design software
  • Previous experience in a technician or support role in education
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols in a school environment
