The Opportunity:
A Design Technology Technician is needed to support teaching and learning across all key stages. This role offers the chance to contribute to a small, dedicated team and make a meaningful impact on student progress and engagement in Design Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning across the Design Technology Department
- Provide high-quality technical assistance to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
- Maintain and manage DT equipment and resources to the highest standard
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and deliver practical learning experiences
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all DT activities
- Assist in the planning and delivery of cross-curricular projects
- Support students in developing their design and technical skills
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the DT curriculum
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong background in Design Technology
- Experience in a school or educational setting
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to Catholic education and the school’s ethos
- Passion for diversity and inclusion
Preferred
- Experience in delivering practical lessons or workshops
- Familiarity with CAD or other design software
- Previous experience in a technician or support role in education
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols in a school environment
