Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain workshop machinery to ensure safe and efficient use by students and staff.
• Implement and enforce strict Health and Safety procedures in all aspects of the workshop.
• Support the delivery of Product Design and Textiles courses by providing technical assistance and resources.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and deliver practical learning experiences.
• Ensure the workshop environment is well-organised, clean, and conducive to learning.
• Assist with the planning and preparation of materials and equipment for lessons.
• Promote a culture of creativity and innovation among students.
• Provide guidance and support to students at all levels in the use of workshop tools and equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in using workshop machinery and equipment.
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety procedures in a school setting.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational environment.
• Knowledge of Product Design and Textiles curriculum.
• Experience with CAD or other design software.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students in practical learning.
