Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging art lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall educational and personal development of students.
- Create and maintain resources and displays that reflect student progress and achievements.
- Work closely with parents and carers to support student learning and well-being.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the broader school community.
- Monitor and assess student progress in line with curriculum objectives.
- Stay up to date with best practices in art education and special needs support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in special needs education.
- Strong knowledge of art and design curriculum and teaching methods.
- Experience working with children with additional needs and Educational Health Care Plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of individual students.
Preferred
- Experience in a school setting within the Beckmead Trust or similar organisations.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
- Experience in creating visual displays and resources for students with diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to the values of Love, Flourishing, Community and Social Justice.
