The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Design Technology Teacher to join our team and deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ education and development in a supportive and dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated Design Technology curriculum for students across KS3 and KS4.
- Support the development and implementation of the curriculum in line with school and trust priorities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental and school-wide initiatives.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and improve teaching standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
- Work closely with students to support their academic and personal growth.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design Technology.
- Experience teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Background in training and mentoring new teachers.
- Experience with cross-curricular and project-based learning.
- Knowledge of industry-standard Design Technology practices and tools.
- Experience in supporting disadvantaged students.
