Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons in Design and Technology that promote creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Support students in developing their understanding of the relevance of design and technology in everyday life.
• Encourage students to apply their learning in real-world contexts.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and support its Catholic ethos.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum.
• Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed.
• Stay up to date with developments in the field of Design and Technology and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design and Technology.
• Strong commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.
• Ability to plan and deliver inspiring, practical lessons.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in working with students of all abilities.

Preferred

• Experience teaching Art or related subjects.
• Experience in delivering CPD sessions or leading professional development.
• Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and SEND support.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches.
