Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons in Design and Technology that promote creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Support students in developing their understanding of the relevance of design and technology in everyday life.
- Encourage students to apply their learning in real-world contexts.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support its Catholic ethos.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of Design and Technology and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design and Technology.
- Strong commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.
- Ability to plan and deliver inspiring, practical lessons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in working with students of all abilities.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Art or related subjects.
- Experience in delivering CPD sessions or leading professional development.
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and SEND support.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches.
