Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across all abilities and key stages.
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all students and promote high standards.
• Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to support learning.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the Design & Technology curriculum.
• Promote the department through competitions, projects, and practical workshops.
• Support students’ personal development, welfare, and safeguarding.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and participate in professional development.
• Ensure health and safety in workshops and practical sessions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A subject-specific degree-level qualification in Design & Technology.
• Ability to teach across all abilities and key stages.
• Outstanding classroom practitioner and excellent role model for students and staff.
• Experience contributing to the development of teaching strategies.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse student population and meet the needs of all learners.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Positive recommendation in professional references (minimum of two).
• Enhanced DBS check.

Preferred

• Further professional qualifications related to teaching or Design & Technology.
• Previous experience teaching in a Catholic school or faith-based setting.
• Experience working with cross-curricular projects or interdisciplinary initiatives.
• Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and procedures within a school environment.
