The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join a dynamic department and inspire students aged 11–18. The role involves teaching Resistant Materials at both GCSE and A Level, with a focus on intelligent design and the use of CAD. This is a chance to make a real impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Design and Technology to a full range of students across the 11–18 age group.
• Deliver high-quality lessons that promote creativity, innovation, and practical skills.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that includes intelligent design and CAD-based learning.
• Support students through pastoral responsibilities, including form tutoring or co-tutoring.
• Engage in co-curricular activities and outreach programmes that enhance the school experience.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching and learning practices.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to the school’s culture and ethos through active involvement in its community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in Design and Technology.
• Strong subject knowledge in Resistant Materials and the ability to teach GCSE and A Level (AQA).
• Experience in using CAD or willingness to develop proficiency in this area.
• Commitment to pastoral care and student support through form tutoring or co-tutoring.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a supportive, high-achieving school environment.

Preferred

• Experience in developing and delivering innovative design and technology curricula.
• Background in intelligent design or related fields.
• Experience with co-curricular or outreach activities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
